About the session
The way we work has evolved at the same breakneck pace as where we work. We've torn down the cubicle farms and replaced them with seas of open-plan offices. But is this a great way to create an environment for software development? Can we do better?
In this talk, you'll discover how we arrived at the current office, from the Admiralty to Bürolandschaft and beyond. We'll look at scientific studies which measure the impact of different environments, allowing us to understand the trade-offs and see how culture has a surprising role to play.
Armed with history and science on our side, we'll then look at what we can do to create an excellent space for our creative teams and the different ways they work.
Headphones are not required.
